A Gentleman – A man that is considerate of others emotionally and physically. Such consideration is displayed by his choice of kind words, acts of kindness, and chivalry (cited from Shawn Blanchard’s dictionary).
Instances of “Ungentleman” like conduct
- Where the h@es at?
- Being nice is soft!
- Nobody matters, but me and money!
It’s easy to get confused about how a man should view and interact with a woman. Some rap lyrics tell us to violate women, disrespect them just because we can, and care less about their emotions. We are trained to act like the peasants of the old instead of the Kings and Queens that we truly are. Peasants can be selfish and untrustworthy and it’s expected. Society disregards your true kinship and ancestry. We are all from the original man and woman who were the rulers of the earth. You’re regal!
Consider a King
He’s a soldier, a protector, a dignified servant and a master of his craft. A great King rules with certainty without arrogance, yet his confidence is graceful. Lets look further into the 3 bullets listed above. Would a King ask, “ Where the h@es at?” Lol! Of course not! A King isn’t concerned with hoes in such a way. If there was a h@e. A true King would attempt to aid her. “Being nice is soft.” Try again! It’s actually the way that people received their King best. “Nobody matters, but me and money!” A King is more concerned about being the master of his craft and setting the best standards and example for his people. In turn money chases the King. A King doesn’t need to chase money.
What we naturally think
Naturally, we yearn for our Father to treat our Mother like a Queen. We also want our Father to display the way of the gentleman to our brothers and sisters. So, why do we turn around and act like peasants? Maybe it’s a lack of the presence of our Fathers. Maybe our Fathers didn’t commit to being the gentleman he was supposed to be. Maybe the peasants have taken over and the Kings no longer have control!
The 3 keys to being the gentleman
Lets be real. This man, the gentleman, is not to be confused with a perfect man. He simply tries his best. He doesn’t dress in any particular style and his voice isn’t naturally deep. The main factor of being a gentleman is simply a man’s character. A man of good character will out shine the peasants any day, my friends. With that said, I have 3 key components that men should stand upon and women should look for.
- Random acts of kindness
Be the true King that you are supposed to be good brothers. Ladies look for the traits that you are supposed to receive as a Queen.
